Wattle Bank Cup - Celebration of Horses Day - Tuesday 4th November

Today's public holiday is also known as the race that stops the nation. For our second year, we would love to offer an alternative to enjoy horses in a more connected and kinder way. Kicking off at 11am, join us at the farm gate and farm for a wholesome afternoon of fun, games and of course loads of horse activities. Dress up to razzle and dazzle all, we love feathers and sparkles but equally cowgirls and cow boy outfits!

Children enjoy a pony ride, grooming station, write a letter to their favourite horse at the Pony Pen Pal Club, make a take home Hobby horse. They will also enjoy a surprise goodie bag on departure. Weather pending we may have more games on the day as well. Adults are not left out, they will receive a glass of sparkling on arrival as well as scone, cream and local strawberry jam as well. BYO picnic blanket and shade if sunny! As it will be over lunchtime, either stop at the farm gate for a coffee or tea, canapes and quiches or some cheese and crackers, ice creams and more. Or bring a picnic to share with your family.

At 1pm, we will have a Natural Horsemanship Demonstration and recital of Bush Poetry. We will also be launching the 'Kinder Ride' Natural Horse Halter on this day. Pop your name down to be one of the very first to own this all in one natural bitless halter, lead rope and magic wand.

At 2pm, we will all gather in the front paddock to see the kids race the Wattle Bank Cup Steeple chase with their hobby horse.

Lots of prizes on the day for Best dressed, Best groomed horse, Winner of the Wattle Bank Cup.

Please note that this year due to the heavy rains, we have been experiencing, we will not be using the front paddocks and the event will be held by the Farm Gate. We encourage friends and family to car pool as well as bring a Keep cup to top up hot drinks.
